Mighty Morals!
Best Class have been writing a first person moral story!
The last few weeks, Best Class has been building up to and writing a first-person moral story. We started by looking at a model example that you might know: The boy who cried wolf. We discussed the key features of this story and thought about others that we knew.
We then based our story around the old saying 'A leopard doesn't change it's spots'. We read a story about a seed that breaks this old idea, and we created stories around being able to change who you are. We used a range of Year 6 level techniques, such as: relative embedded clauses, and expanded noun phrases, amongst others.
We did this through the English Vision:
Be a reader. Be a writer. Be a communicator.
