On a beautiful sunny day at St Dunstan's Jubilee ground, St George's entered the annual Year 5/6 QuickSticks Hockey tournament. This mixed competition saw schools from all over Lewisham come together and compete to be the hockey champions. St George's went with a squad of 10 excited players, which meets our P. E vision of: 

Be passionate. 

Be respectful. 

Be determined.

The competition started off as a round-robin, where schools were put into small groups and all competed against each other in their group. St George's did really well in their group, coming second. This put them through to the next round. They then went on to come 5th overall. All the players were excellent ambassadors of the school and showed all of our Sporting Spirits, which we pride ourselves on.
