Super Healthy! Super Strong!
This Autumn term the topic in Early Years is 'Ourselves'.
McMillan nursery class have been very busy working on the topic 'Ourselves'.
Our class portrait gallery is well under way with the children producing some great self-portraits, making sure they observe their features carefully before they begin creating. Look out for our completed gallery in our future newsletters!
The children have also been thinking about how to stay healthy, so that they can grow and become stronger and fitter. 'Avocado Baby', the story of a weak baby who becomes super strong after eating avocados, has been very popular this week!
Have a look at our healthy fruit-themed activities - the children especially enjoyed their avocado on toast! Next week - fruit salad!
Our curriculum vision statement for our Early Years is:
Be an Explorer. Be a Trier. Be a Talker. Be a Creator.
We have been busy, exploring, trying, talking and creating!
