It takes guts!

We are thrilled to share the exciting news of Year 3’s recent trip to the Science Museum!

Our young explorers had an incredible day filled with learning, discovery, and hands-on experiences. Here’s a glimpse into what they got up to.

Exploring Space: The students began their adventure by delving into the wonders of space. They explored the vast universe through interactive exhibits, learning about planets, stars, and even astronauts. The children were fascinated by the models of spacecraft and the information about space exploration. Many of them couldn’t stop talking about the mysteries of the cosmos!

Discovering the Human Body: Next, Year 3 ventured into the fascinating world of the human body. They explored the complex systems that keep us alive and healthy, from our circulatory system to our skeleton. The exhibits allowed the children to learn in an engaging, hands-on way, making it easier to understand how our bodies work. Some students were particularly intrigued by the interactive displays that showed how our senses function.

Digestive System Workshop: One of the highlights of the trip was the workshop about the digestive system. The children had the chance to take part in a fun, informative session that explored how food travels through our bodies. They loved the interactive demonstrations and were able to ask questions and even carry out experiments to see how digestion works!

This trip gave us the opportunity to live out our curriculum vision statement for science:

Be academic.

Be curious.

Be practical.
