Year 4 Students Combine Science and Writing to Explore the Digestive System

In an exciting crossover between science and writing, our Year 4 students have been delving into the fascinating world of the digestive system. Having already studied the digestive process in their science lessons, the students recently applied their knowledge by writing detailed explanatory texts about how the body breaks down food. This activity not only enhanced their understanding of the topic but also allowed them to practice their writing skills, particularly through the use of Tier 3 vocabulary, in line with the school’s English curriculum vision statement:
