In English, we enjoyed sharing and re-telling the text 'Pirates Love Underpants'. We have been using our phonics to write for a range of purposes, including treasure maps, pirate ship rules and pirate descriptions. We even used our maps to go on a treasure hunt!

In Expressive arts and design, we have been busy exploring and experimenting with a range of tools, media and materials to independently create pirate outfits, telescopes, treasure chests and pirate ships. We thought carefully about the materials we used so that our ships would float.

Reception have really been living up to our Early Years vision;
