It's not magic, it's MECHANICS!
"Give me a place to stand and I will move the world!" said the famous scientist, mathematician and inventor Archimedes. He is but one of the many inspiring designers we have studied during this topic. This morning we celebrated the results of our first DT day!
This half term, Y1-Y5 had a whole day to learn about Mechanics and making a range of products from Moon Buggies to sliding pictures. It was wonderful to see the range of products, progression of skills and (above all) the pride the children took in showcasing and explaining their designs.

Year 5: Moon Buggies
I cannot wait to see the healthy but tasty treats we will be making during our next DT topic: Food Technology!
