At St George's, our curriculum vision statement for PE is:

Be passionate. 

Be respectful. 

Be determined.

Our passion and determination in Year 1 has meant we have really started to develop our skills in PE. 

At the beginning of Year 1, pupils started to learn how to throw a beanbag and a small ball to each other using an under arm throw. Once they had developed their throwing skills, they were then able to start defending against each other. 

In this lesson, children had the opportunity to attempt to throw a beanbag into a hoop while another child was defending it. 

Jemison class loved their topic of attack, defend and shoot and can't wait to continue this topic after half-term.
