Sunflowers, Sunflowers, Sunflowers!
In year 3, we have been creating our own versions of the Sunflowers painting by the popular artist Vincent van Gogh.
Focusing on our famous and popular artist, Vincent van Gogh, we have looked at his own art, observing the different marks he has made in his portraits.
We were given the opportunity to create our own versions of his work by using crotch hatching, sgraffitto and impasto to add more texture to our art. We used a range of acrylic paint, water paint and wax crayons.
Being a St. Georges learner, living out our curriculum vision statement for art:
Be creative.
Be proficient.
Be reflective.
Look how proficient we've become at using Van Gogh's techniques!
