Merry Christmas from Kahlo Class!

This week in Kahlo Class, the festive season has truly arrived!

We’ve been exploring the magic of Christmas through exciting activities that reflect our Early Years curriculum vision:

Be an Explorer. Be a Trier. Be a Talker. Be a Creator.

Writing

Our week began with the joy of making and writing Christmas cards. Each child poured their creativity into designing unique cards for their loved ones, practising early writing skills. It’s wonderful to see our little creators expressing themselves with such thoughtfulness!

Next, we stepped into the world of imagination and language by writing Christmas lists and letters to Santa. The children practised writing their names and sounding out words to share their Christmasy wishes. To their delight, Santa wrote back! His letters encouraged the children to keep trying their best, spreading warmth and positivity throughout our class.

Fine Motor Skills

To develop our fine motor skills, we turned our attention to wrapping presents. The children carefully measured and folded paper, stuck down tape, and tied ribbons—a fun and practical way to grow those small muscles in our hands while fostering patience and perseverance.

Playing and Exploring

Kahlo Class has been buzzing with enthusiasm, and we’re so proud of how our explorers, triers, talkers, and creators have grown this week. See below for more adventures as we continue to make this Christmas season one to remember!
