A Special Eucharist to Begin the Year

This week, our school community came together for a very special Eucharist service, led by our incumbent, Father Richard.
All pupils and staff were invited to take part, as we marked the beginning of the new year and reflected on the opportunities January brings to make positive changes.
At St. George’s, we hold two Eucharist services each academic year, and this first one was a wonderful way to gather as a community. Many chose to take the bread, while everyone joined together in song, reflection, and prayer. Father Richard’s words encouraged us to think about how we can support one another, grow, and embrace new beginnings this year.
As an inclusive school, we welcome and respect everyone’s beliefs, ensuring that all feel comfortable taking part in ways that are meaningful to them. Our Eucharist services are a time for us to unite, celebrating our culture statement:
We are fun. We are together.
It was a joyful and thoughtful moment for our school, and we look forward to coming together again later in the year for our next Eucharist service.
