Stunning Structures in DT Week!

Last half-term, the budding designers from Year 1 to Year 6 explored the exciting world of structures in their Design and Technology days.
We investigated various types of structures, looking closely at how they are built and how to manipulate materials to make them stronger. As always in DT, the pupils got hands-on, creating their own designs using recycled cardboard, paper, bricks, wood and even spaghetti!

Each class built their own structures, testing their stability and reflecting on their designs to improve them.
If the Three Little Pigs ever need some construction advice in the future, they should definitely come and talk to us! At our school, we believe that every student has the ability to design, build, and create with confidence, as per our DT vision statements:
Be innovative.
Be hands-on.
Be diagnostic.
