πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ Gymnastics Fun in Jemison Class! πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ

This week in PE, our Year 1 Jemison class had an exciting gymnastics session, exploring different gymnastic shapes and building their confidence with movement.

The children were introduced to three key shapes—pike, straddle, and tuck. With great enthusiasm, they practised each one, perfecting their form and understanding how their bodies move in different ways. πŸ’ͺ

After mastering the shapes on the ground, the real challenge began! The children had the opportunity to put their skills into action by jumping off benches and landing safely while holding their gymnastic positions. πŸ… It was wonderful to see them supporting each other, cheering their friends on, and demonstrating great determination to improve with every attempt. πŸ‘

This lesson perfectly reflected our school’s PE curriculum vision:

Be passionate. ❀️ The children approached the lesson with excitement and energy, eager to try new moves and challenge themselves. Their enthusiasm for gymnastics was truly inspiring!

Be respectful. 🀝 They listened carefully to instructions, took turns patiently, and encouraged each other throughout the session. Respect for their teachers and peers helped create a fun and supportive environment.

Be determined. πŸ’« Some of the shapes and jumps were tricky at first, but the children showed fantastic perseverance. They kept trying, refining their movements, and celebrating their progress. πŸŽ‰

Well done, Jemison class! 🌟 We can’t wait to see how you continue to grow in confidence and skill in our next PE lessons! 😊
