Marvelous Minibeasts!

This week, Kahlo Class has been buzzing with excitement as we explored the wonderful world of minibeasts! πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸ

Our young learners have been bringing our Early Years vision to life:

Be an Explorer 🌍. Be a Trier πŸ’ͺ. Be a Talker πŸ—£οΈ. Be a Creator 🎨.

through storytelling, writing, and creativity.

πŸ“– Wonderful Stories: We loved reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar πŸ› and Winnie the Pooh Saves the Bees 🐝. These stories helped us learn about caterpillars transforming into butterflies and the important job that bees do!

✏️ Super Writers: The children worked hard to write their own versions of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and labeled the life cycle of a butterfly. They also became fact-finders, writing interesting facts about bees and why they are so important! 🌸🐝

πŸ”Ž Minibeast Hunting: Our little explorers took their learning outside, searching for minibeasts in our outdoor area! They looked under logs, in the grass, and on leaves to find tiny creatures and talked about what they discovered. πŸ•·οΈπŸœ

🎨 Creative Minibeasts: Our creative area was filled with color as the children used different materials and media to make their own caterpillars, butterflies, and bees. We saw some wonderful patterns, bright wings, and even some sparkly bees!

It has been a fantastic week of exploring, trying, talking, and creating. Well done, Kahlo Class! We can’t wait for more exciting learning next week! πŸŒŸπŸ‘
