St George’s School, March 21, 2025 – A beautiful sunny afternoon set the stage for a thrilling KS2 football match between local rivals, St George’s and Perrymount. The match, held at St George’s, was filled with excitement, energy, and a true demonstration of the school’s PE vision statement:

Be Determined.

Parents gathered in great numbers to support the teams, creating a lively and encouraging atmosphere. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who came out to cheer, as their support truly made a difference and helped foster an inspiring environment for the young athletes.

The game kicked off with both teams showing plenty of passion and commitment. St George’s quickly displayed their determination, dominating possession and moving the ball with precision. Their hard work and focus paid off when they scored the first goal midway through the first half. As the match progressed, St George’s remained relentless, their energy never waning. By half-time, they were leading 2-0, thanks to another well-executed goal.

In the second half, Perrymount showed great resilience and respect for the game, pushing hard to find a way back into the match. However, St George’s defence stood firm, and their attacking players continued to push forward. Two more goals sealed the 4-0 victory, a result that reflected their passion, respect for the game, and determination to succeed.

A special thank you to all the parents who supported both teams with respect and enthusiasm, making this match a memorable one. Your presence truly helped create a positive environment that highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship.
