Dear St. George's families,
Another week at St George's and there has been another school trip. This week, our Year 5 pupils were lucky enough to visit a Hindu Temple as part of their Religious Education topic. We really value learning outside of the classroom at St George's as it is a way that pupils can make connections, which is one of our learner qualities.
Next week, all classes from Year 1 upwards will be heading to the church to celebrate our Harvest Festival. A big thank you to those who have already contributed to our collection for Lewisham's food bank. For those of you who have not yet, there is still next week!
Finally, it has been a week of celebration at St George's this week. Mr Bayne, our Science Lead, is proud to announce that we have achieved the PSQM (the Primary Science Quality Mark). This is an award given to schools who value Science highly and teach the subject with excellence. Check out the news story below to read more about it.
As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.
Mr Janes
