Dear St. George's families,
We have really enjoyed the penultimate week of the 2022-23 academic year.
Year 6 have been incredibly busy, being business entrepreneurs and making lots of money during their mini enterprise initiative. On top of that, they have also ventured to Southend for one of their end of year treats to a theme park. Check out the news stories below to see how much fun they had.
A big thank you to Miss Michell, who was the organiser of our first 'MAT Games Day' for some of our lucky Year 5 and 6 pupils. We were proud to finish as the second placed school but have our eyes on the top prize next year!
Next week is still jam-packed full of experiences and learning opportunities. On Monday, we will be having our Year Six Leavers' service. We look forward to giving them a formal send off before they head to Secondary school after the Summer.
Following on from that, we have School Games Day on Tuesday. Please remember that this is being held at Dulwich College and all pupils need to be brought straight there on the day, as well as being picked up from there if parents are not staying for the day. We are definitely looking forward to the parent-teacher race, so bring your trainers everyone!
On Wednesday, all classes will be meeting their new teachers and spending part of the morning in their new classroom. New teacher and class names will be announced in next week's newsletter, after the pupils have found out.
Here's to a great final week of term!
As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.
