Dear St. George's families,
A big thank you to everyone who attended our Start of the Year Class meetings. We hope you found them informative and have a clearer picture of how you can support learning at home. As ever, it was fantastic seeing our culture statement being lived out: We are fun. We are together.
We had some tired pupils in Year SIx on Thursday and Friday this week, as they returned from their three-day residential on Wednesday. Check out next week's newsletter to see all of the fun activities they took part in. They are certain to sleep well this weekend!
This Friday was National Teaching Assistant Day and we took the time to celebrate our wonderful support staff here at St George's. Our pupils were great and gave our staff a big thank you and show of appreciation in celebration assembly. We are so lucky to have such dedicated staff at St George's.
Finally, parents in Reception and Year 1 classes should have all received information about our upcoming reading cafes. Attendance at these events is really important as you will be given information on how we teach reading at St George's. We will also have coffee, tea, juice and some biscuits! We look forward to seeing you there.
As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.
