Dear St. George's families,
It has been a jam-packed final week of the half-term. We would not have it any other way at St George's!
It was a pleasure seeing such a great number of Year 6 pupils put themselves forward for the new leadership role of Head Boy and Head Girl. Check out the news story below to see how the selection process has taken shape. Every candidate lived up our vision statement of being brave and we are very proud of all candidates.
Thank you to all families who are ensuring that we live up to our culture statement of 'being together' and ensuring your child attends school regularly. All pupils who have not missed a day at school since September were awarded a special attendance certificate this week. A big thank you to Gemma in the office, who must have a sore hand from writing so many names on certificates!
We ended the week at the church for our Harvest Festival Service. A big thank you to Father Richard for hosting us and to Miss Carney and all of our Faith Team, who led the afternoon. We are very grateful for the contributions pupils made to the food bank. We know that sourcing food is something everyone at St George's cares deeply about and we are proud to be a community of courageous advocates.
We wish you the very best of half-term breaks, full of rest and fun, ready for learning when we return to school.
Mr Janes
