Dear St. George's families,
It has been wonderful to be able to welcome some special visitors to St George's this week. Firstly, we were visited by a SIAMS inspector on Thursday. I know he was blown away by how expressive, passionate and knowledgeable our pupils are. A big thank you to all parents who responded to our recent survey and to those who spoke to the inspector face to face. It is so important the inspector heard voices from our supportive community in order to build a picture of why St George's is such a special place. A written report will be made available within the next four weeks. When we have received it, we look forward to sharing it with you all.
On Friday, we were visited by Ellie Reeves, our Local Member of Parliament for Lewisham West and Penge. It was a great opportunity for our Pupil Leadership Team to hear from a real-life politician. Ellie was really impressed with the thoughtful questions our pupils asked. Check out the news story below to see what the visit looked like.
Finally, we look forward to seeing you all at our Parents' Evenings next week. Our Parent Ambassadors on our Pupil Leadership Team are keen to escort you to your child's class and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. These evenings are so important as they give us the opportunity to share recent test results; talk about your child's progress, what we can do to support them achieve; and how they are faring socially and emotionally. We will see you at your allotted time on Wednesday or Thursday.
As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.
