Dear St. George's families,
It as been a fantastic start to the second half term of 2024. We have continued to bring the community to St George's. This week, we have begun our community cricket sessions with Kent Cricket and we have also had visitors from King's College Dental Team explain the importance of dental hygiene.
There is more to come soon too, with our Year 5 pupils looking forward to visiting Depford Green Secondary for some drama workshops in the coming weeks. It is great seeing our pupils have such wonderful learning opportunities at St George's.
There are some events coming up for you to put in your diaries. It is World Book Day on the 7th March, when we will be inviting pupils to come in dressed as a book character, for a day full of reading-related learning.
We will also be hosting our first annual Science Fair in three weeks' time. Mr Bayne is looking forward to having to seeing lots of projects on show. The prizes will be decided by Mr Bayne himself, alongside ouor Head Boy and Head Girl. Please see the poster below for more information.
Finally, we will be hosting our photographer agina on Monday afternoon, as it was very wet when she came this week and we still want lots of outdoor shots of the pupils. Please ensure your child comes in wearing full school uniform, looking really smart. Everyone looked fantastic on Wednesday, so we are sure of a good day on Monday.
As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on your return.
Mr Janes
